Today we started off the day review the atomic particles (protons, electrons and neutrons) and reviewing how to draw the atomic structure. we used this website to practice drawing the atoms. We reviewed our homework (on the back of page 11 in our notebooks)
Your homework tonight is to pick 6 elements from last nights homework(the chart) and draw the atom
After reviewing atoms, we moved into metals, non metals and metalloids. In our notebooks on page 12 we added vocabulary boxes and colored a blank periodic table to identify the metals, non metals and metalloids. The example of this can be found in this short powerpoint.

Quiz on Tuesday (A day) and Thursday (B Day) on atomic structures and atom models.
Thank you for all your participation with our sing along the other day. Here are the lyrics for those of you who are interested.
I believe I can fly.
Like an atom way up in the sky
Protons, neutrons in my nucleus
Electrons float around again
Atomic number you subtract, from the mass and your neutrons will last…
I believe I can fly.
