Quick review on density through our warm up and reviewing our homework from the night before
Next, we took our 10 question density quiz. The quiz grades should be in powerschools by the weekend. All other assignments that have been turned in (both on time and late) have already been put in Powerschools.
We then reviewed physical and chemical changes from last class using this website. http://vital.cs.ohiou.edu/steamwebsite/downloads/ChangeLab.swf and putting the examples in their notebooks on the back 21.
Finally we completed a lab on physical properties and chemical reactions. The purpose of the lab is for students to look for the "signs of the chemical reactions". The signs they are looking for color change, precipitate formation, gas formation, and heat formation. Here are the lab conclusion questions:
•Choose any FOUR real life examples of a chemical changes. Indicate the signs of the chemical change in that example.
•Explain the difference between a chemical and physical change, including an example.
